Maria Ann Nelson

Besides her parents Maria is survived by her beloved Husband of 23 years, Vincent D’Urso, her children Thomas and Nicolas Moffitt, her sister Susan (Thomas) Wallace, Nieces, Nephews, Aunts, Uncles, and many cousins.

Maria was known for her artistic talents, which included her love for drawing, painting, decorating her home, and displaying all her knick-knacks of her favorite things in life. Maria always found a purpose for everything, including all her gadgets, antique furniture, and pictures. Even during her illness, Maria loved to clean, cook, organize, and care for her loved ones. She loved her plants and would buy dying plants to bring them back to life. Maria also loved animals and always had a home filled with her birds, bearded dragons, and especially her current dogs Lukas and Annie.

Maria will be deeply missed, but her spirit and love will always remain in our hearts.

A private family service is scheduled, and a Celebration of Life will be scheduled at home and in New York in the near future.
