Marilynn Eileen Ade

Marilynn was born in Glassboro, New Jersey, the daughter of Ernest Ade and Margorie Ade (Wolfe).

Marilynn graduated from high school in 1966 and then went on to college, earning a degree in education. She taught high school Spanish for several years.

Marilynn worked as a Reservation Sales Agent for Northwest Airlines for 33 years. She retired from Northwest in 2011.

Marilynn truly cherished spending time with friends. She enjoyed travelling as well. Marilynn was a huge fan of opera, particularly Juan Diego. She had a special place in her heart for animals, especially Golden Retrievers and was a dog mom to several Goldens throughout her life. In addition, Marilynn was an avid reader and lover of books. She volunteered several days a week at Jimmie B. Keel Regional Library for the last 15 years. Friends and family will fondly remember her love of Robert Redford and anything with chocolate.

Remaining to cherish Marilynn's memory are nieces Jennifer (Jim) and Kristin (Mike) as well as grandnieces Maddie and Maya and grandnephew Clark. In addition, Marilynn will be remembered by her many friends and Northwest Airlines colleagues who became family to her.

Marilynn was preceded in death by her father, Ernest, mother, Marjorie, and brother, Robert.

The family will receive guests on Friday, July 11th at 10:00 am at Blount & Curry Funeral Home, Carrollwood Chapel. Services will follow immediately at 11:00 am.
