Raising children in Ybor City and West Tampa gave Marina a strong foundation of family and friends bounded together by love and compassion. In her later years she was affectionately known as “Abuela” (grandmother) to everyone that gained her friendship. Her house was always open to all family, neighbors and friends at anytime especially, to share a home cooked meal or reminisce about family history. The fulfillment of her life was family and friends. She cherished family gatherings with home
cooked meals. If she were ever in charge of Planet Earth, she would have ordered every family to gather every Sunday for a family meal.
The family wishes to express sincere appreciation to the St Joseph Hospital doctors and staff that attended to her medical needs over several years. The hospital personnel applied care, compassion, dignity and respect at the highest levels. Thanks also to the Concordia Rehab Center doctors and staff for the excellent care provided.
Marina will be missed by many family, friends and neighbors that surrounded her daily life. At her request, a private graveside service will held at the Garden of Memories Cemetery.
