Smith, Marlin, 76, of Tampa, passed away March 14, 2015. In addition to his parents, Marlin was preceded in death by his daughter Sabrina Effner. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Bruyere Smith of 43 years; children, Kenneth, Lisa Thiel (Steven), Marlin A. Jr., Andrew (Jeanette), William (Christine), Elizabeth Walsh (Brad) and his son-in-law Leroy Effner. Also surviving are numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Marlin proudly served in the US Navy in his youth. He was an avid bowler and enjoyed his pastime with his beloved wife for many years. Marlin was a very well liked and respected individual in the community, getting along with everyone. He was famous for his dry sense of humor. He enjoyed his Slim Jims, his red pickup truck, and most of all, his grandchildren. He was loyal to his wife and never left the house or went to bed without giving her three kisses and telling her how much he loved her. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, March 18, 2015 at Hillsboro Memorial Gardens, 2323 W. Brandon Blvd, Brandon, FL 33511.
