

96, passed into heaven February 2, 2026 surrounded by family. Mary was born on October 15, 1929 to Angelo Puleo and Felicia Massaro Puleo. A daughter of first generation Sicilian Americans, Mary grew up in West Tampa and had a simple & loving upbringing. Following graduation from Hillsborough High School in 1947, obtained a Cosmetology license and later moving to bookkeeping opportunities until she retired.
Mary was preceded in death by her beloved husband Angelo (Pacho) Cacciatore, father Angelo Puleo, mother Felicia Massaro Puleo, and brother Andrew Puleo. Many people will remember Mary for her love of family, independence, strong determination, providing guidance whether you wanted it or not, teaching how to cook family recipes for future generations to enjoy and for making various arts & crafts with the neighborhood ladies, affectionately known & loved by all as the “Dummy Club”.
Mary is survived by David Cacciatore (Kathy), Cynthia Pacetti (Michael); grandchildren, Angela Cacciatore DeLoach, Kathryn Cacciatore Ball (Scott), Michael John Pacetti, Joseph Pacetti (Adrienne), Lauren Pacetti (Alaina); great-grandchildren Logan DeLoach, Kenzie DeLoach, Benjamin Pacetti, Landon Ball, Emma Ball; sister-in-law Marion Garcia; nieces Debra Romano (Danny), Marsha VanDerWall (Eugene), Andrea Callison; nephew Paul Puleo and numerous family and friends.
A private family ceremony will be held at Myrtle Hill Cemetery gravesite on Monday, February 16. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Mary’s honor to St Jude Children’s Research Hospital (https://www.stjude.org/) or a charity of your choice.
