

Michael Thomas Corn, 59, of Tampa, Florida passed away on September 5, 2024. He was born in Denver, Colorado, but moved to Tampa at a young age. Michael graduated from Chamberlain High School, Class of 1983 then graduated from St. Leo University with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration in 1991. He proudly served his country as an SSgt in the United States Air Force and was Honorably Discharged in 1992. After his military service, Michael primarily worked as an executive sales professional in the automobile industry.
Michael was an avid football and baseball enthusiast and was a dedicated fan of the Seattle Seahawks and the Tampa Bay Rays. Michael enjoyed traveling and had a special affinity for Hawaii. He loved attending live sporting events, concerts, and the theater, but most of all Michael’s children were his pride and joy. It was his greatest pleasure to spend time with them and to watch them grow into responsible, caring, and hardworking adults.
He was predeceased in death by his Father Melvin Corn; his Mother and Stepfather Marilyn and William Owens, both of whom passed away a few months prior to Michael; Maternal Grandparents, Grace and Thomas Shropshire of Hannibal, MO; Paternal Grandparents, Ralph and Ruth Corn of Moorehead, IA; and Step Grand-Mother, Beulah Logan Owens of Tampa.
He is survived by his Son, Austin Corn; Daughter, Mikayla Corn; Former Wife, Mary Beth Corn; Brother, Robert Corn and his Wife, Judy Corn; Nephew, Rian Bentivegna (Karlee and Vincenzo); Aunt, Earladean Krueger (Gene) of Des Moines IA; Cousins, Steffany Zimmerman (Jerry) of Aurora, Il and Craig Corn (Jill) of Wildwood, FL.
As a lifetime animal lover, the family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Michael’s name to the Hillsborough County Pet Resource Center
Military Honors will be rendered at 12:30pm on Friday, September 20, 2024 at Florida National Cemetery located at 6502 SW 102nd Ave, Bushnell, FL 33513.
