
Mickey was born in Akron, Ohio to Howell and Judy Crabtree on January 14, 1951. He attended school at Springfield High School (Akron), Florida College, Ohio State University, University of South Florida, and Florida Atlantic University. He married Cindy Norman on September 17, 1971 in Akron, Ohio. He graduated from University of South Florida. He was very proud to be a Certified Public Accountant and worked at several places before the last 31 years at Michael Crabtree and Company, CPAs and Terrace Tax & Accounting. He was involved in Temple Terrace Chamber of Commerce, Kiwanis and Rotary but was most involved in several congregations of the church of Christ in the Tampa area.
Mickey is preceded in death by his parents, Howell and Judy Crabtree, his parents-in-law, Morris and Cecil Norman, and his beloved granddaughter, Scout Reese McCauley.
Mickey is survived by his wife, Cindy, daughters, Tara, and Mandy (Gabe) McCauley, sons, Michael (Alicia) and Jonathan (Lauren), sister, Viola (Bill) Frederick, brother, Ricky, grandchildren, Ella, Mickey D, Ash, Henry, Sammy, Graham, Catherine, Juliet, and Olivia.
Honorary pallbearers will be Alan Geer (longtime friend and colleague), Linda Hanlon Hill (longtime friend and former business partner), Ginny O’Neal (longtime friend and trusted employee), Pam Patton (fellow art appreciator and close friend), Richard Smotherman (genius), and Rick Tyler (longtime close friend).
Visitation will be 10 AM, Friday, January 16 at University Church of Christ, 14314 Bruce B Downs, Tampa.
Funeral services will be held 11 AM, Friday, January 16 at University Church of Christ, 14314 Bruce B Downs, Tampa with Steve Patton and Ralph Walker, officiating. Private family burial will be at 3 PM that afternoon at Garden of Memories. Arrangements are by Blount & Curry.

Please don’t hesitate to donate your organs. Even though Mickey had two cornea transplants, cataract surgeries that had to be done twice and glaucoma, he was able to donate his eyes for research.
