Nancy Darlene Byrd

**November 28, 1947 – April 19, 2025**

Nancy Byrd, a devoted ICU nurse, loving mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on April 19, 2025, in Tampa, Florida, with her daughters by her side. She was 77 years old.

Born on November 28, 1947, in Cumberland, Maryland, Nancy lived a life filled with compassion, creativity, and care for others. Her long and dedicated career as an ICU nurse touched countless lives and was a testament to her deep empathy and strength.

Beyond her professional life, Nancy was known for her love of dogs, her green thumb with orchids, and her boundless creativity expressed through arts and crafts and home improvement projects. She especially loved making special things for her grandchildren, each piece a reflection of her love and warmth.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Ada Howsare Morgan and Albert Morgan, Sr., and her brothers, Albert Morgan, Jr. and Thomas Morgan. She is survived by her beloved sisters, Virginia Schneider and Mary Keiling; her former husband, Glenn Byrd; and her loving daughters, Michelle and Kelli.

She also leaves behind her cherished sons-in-law, Dirk and George, and her adored grandchildren: Adelaide, Marlena, Julian, and Gabriel.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made to your local hospice or animal shelter in her memory—causes that reflect the compassion and kindness she showed throughout her life.

She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

The interment of Nancy Darlene Morgan Byrd (November 28, 1947 – April 19, 2025) will take place on Thursday, July 31, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Sunset Memorial Park in Cumberland, Maryland.

Family and friends are invited to attend as we lay her to rest and honor her memory.
