Norma Boza-Keesler age 83, passed on to our Lord on March 19 to her everlasting peace. Graveside service will be held at Myrtle Hill Cemetery Saturday March 23 at 10:30 AM. Norma, resident of Indian Shores the past 22 years but originally, and forever a tampena with deep West Tampa roots, will be missed by many. Predeceased by her father Gerald M Boza, mother Olivia Fernandez Boza and spouse Robert G. Keesler, she is survived by her son, Robert G. Keesler Jr. wife Amanda, daughter Gerene Keesler and brother Gerald M Boza Jr. DDS wife Janet, along with cherished grandchildren Brittany Keesler, Caitlyn Keesler husband Andres Cordoba MD and Corey Keesler. Beloved nephews Gerald M. Boza III esq., J. Jared Boza PE, Justin M. Boza LFD and great grandchild Isabella Cordoba.
Norma was employed as a teacher and department head for 30+ years in Hillsborough county prior to moving to Indian Shores and her condo in the Sandcastle, with the sole objective of enjoying life. She accomplished her goal by fishing, shell collecting and then immersing herself in two job opportunities. Norma continued working into her 80’s for Plumlee Beach Rentals and the Tampa Bay Rays. Being an avid baseball fan and a good communicator, the work brought her much happiness and many friends who brightened her life as she hopefully brought joy to them. In addition to work, she served as Board Secretary for the condo association for 25 years and completely immersed herself in the lives of grandchildren and nephews.
The family would like to thank the physicians and caregivers who aided Norma through her journey, especially Brittany Keesler, Elka South, Luz Roberts and Micah Dean. Best bud “Moe Jean”, Drs. Mark Stine, Don Luong, Suncoast Hospice we thank you. Suggested contributions to Suncoast Hospice, Florida Aquarium Turtle Rescue or charity of your choice.
