

Prenzel, Norman Lawrence, 77, passed away on May 15, 2014 in peace and love with his wife Laurel Bailey Prenzel by his side. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. & Mrs. Curt A. and Gertrude (Goepel) Prenzel, his uncle & aunt , Mr. & Mrs. Alfred E. & Elly (Goepel) Doenges, & his college-age brother & pal, Byron Prenzel. He is survived by his loving wife, Laurel & his extended family; 2 brothers & sisters-in-law, Allen & Judith Bailey of Cambridge, NY, & Wayne & Donna Bailey of Essex, NY & Tampa, FL, four nephews, Bruce(Lee Ann) Bailey, Scott (Valerie) Bailey, Christopher (Courtenay) Bailey, John (Anne) Bailey, one niece, April (John) Montgomery, 5 great-nephews, Ryan Michael Bailey, Joshua Scott Bailey, Ethan Harrington Bailey, Zachery Russell Bailey & Ian Bailey Montgomery, 5 great-nieces, Janelle( Hayden) Harshman, Emily Gayle Bailey, Sophia Elizabeth Bailey, Donna Meredith Montgomery & Alexandra Laurel Bailey. In Germany he is survived by 1st cousins, Marie Luise Prenzel (Friedel) Loos , Maryanne Prenzel (Werner) Wagner and Kurthienze (Mildred) Prenzel. He is also survived by many dear 2nd and 3rd cousins and many ,many friends. His life’s pleasures included driving his 1972 Olds Cutlass convertible, sailing his Hobie Catamaran, playing tennis, becoming a master of Trivial Pursuit, playing his white grand piano, enjoying live, phenomenal Florida Orchestra concerts, Amadeus Society membership, dancing to Big Band sounds & traveling to vacation in the USA & Europe, especially, Germany on several occasions. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 20,2014 from 4-6pm followed by a service at 6pm at the Blount & Curry Carrollwood Chapel. On a later date, the family will scatter Norman’s remains at his favorite sailing destination in the Gulf of Mexico.
