He was born in Brooklyn, New York on September 19, 1927. He relocated to Tampa with his family as a small child.
He attended Hillsborough High School, served in the Army and graduated from the University of Florida in 1950 where he earned his degree in Business Administration.
He was the owner of O.H. Barbery Inc., Commercial Glazing Corp.
He is survived by his wife Jean, the love of his life, son Oscar Barbery Jr., daughter Linn Leikind, 2 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
He was a member of the Tampa Runners Club and an avid Gators fan. He was a kind and loving husband and father. He will be missed by all who knew him.
A Celebration of his Life will be held on December 10, 2022 from 1-4pm at the Blount & Curry Funeral Home - Carrollwood Chapel, 3207 W. Bearss Ave, Tampa, Florida 33618
