

Ovidia was born in Puerto Rico to Maria Rivera on October 16, 1940. She married Alfredo Luna in April 1980. Together, they shared a long and loving marriage, eventually settled in Tampa, Florida.
She worked in housekeeping at the Tahitian Inn for 25 years, where her dedication and warm spirit left a lasting impression on coworkers and guests alike.
Ovidia is preceded in death by Maria Rivera, Ramon Rivera, Victor Castro, Juaquina Diaz, Petra Carrasquillo, Frank Castro, Marcello “Charlie” Castro, and Aixa Callo.
She is survived by her husband Alfredo Luna; her daughters Luz Odilia Vargas, Maritza Marcano, Rosalie Torres, Joan Torres, Raquel Vaque, and Ruth Luna; son Albert Marcano sons-in-law, Angel Torres, Luis Torres, John Vaque, and Jariel Wilson; and daughters-in-law Amy Jane Marcano and Isa Rodriguez; and her beloved grandchildren Paul Vargas, Austin Torres, Amorray Marcano, Justin Torres, Azuree Marcano, Mariah Cardi, Autumn Torres, Isiah Torres, Avayana Marcano, Alyssa Vaque, Sienna Torres, Savannah Vaque and Annabella Vaque.
A memorial gathering will be held from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Sunday, May 18, 2025, at Blount & Curry Funeral. Arrangements are being handled by her children.
