Raul will be so missed by his "girls" in Acapulco.  He was a loving and generous friend.  I am sure that his hips are swaying in Heaven.

I have known Raul for over 30 years, he was a true friend and great entertainer. He made me laugh so many times when we were out in Acapulco. He loved his family and friends and Acapulco. He always watched over me even after my husband passed. He loved life & Music. I will miss him terribly and never forget him. Every tear that rolls down my cheek will be a memory of Raul. R.I.P.

Raul.....or Mr. Acapulco as everyone called him was the kindest, funniest most generous friend anyone could ever have.  Acapulco has not and will not ever be the same again without him.  We also met Raul at Cafe Pacifico singing at the piano bar....what a talent! Everyone always looked forward  to Raul's performance.....he loved singing and dancing and making people laugh.....he was a true entertainer.  Going to dinner with Raul in Acapulco was like walking in with a celebrity....we have such wonderful memories of dinners and sight seeing tours of his favorite places in Acapulco. Raul's big voice could only be rivaled by his beautiful smile and his enormous heart.  He was a one of a kind and a very special person. Raul you made our vacations in Acapulco fun and worthwhile and you will be truly missed and forever remembered.  Always in our hearts....Vaya con Dios . We love you Raul....

My Uncle,. Raul and one of my best friends in this life. I always called him Macho or Tio, as did some of his other family members. Macho was a nickname that started with his Mother, Brothers and Sisters, and it just kind of stuck.

One of the reasons I loved my uncle so much was his kind and gentle nature with his family and friends. He was always soft spoken and kind. He enjoyed showing his love for friends and family in many ways. One of his ways of showing how much he cared for us was buying us the most perfect gifts. He had a nack and a talent for knowing what that perfect gift was to put a smile on a persons face. On the weekends he would leave early to go sailing,..yard saling, filling up the trunk of his car with name brand merchandise, or just things he knew people would like, and always with somebody specific in mind  for most of the items he would buy, and any surplus would go into his storage room, or,...my storage, or a friends storage in Los Angeles, or  Chicago or Mexico or with whoever he was visiting.  If you ever needed an oddball item  or a designer shirt, chances were he had it in the trunk of his car. He was very good at remembering birthdays, Christmas, Holidays and always wanted to be prepared with gifts to give. Another of his passions was cooking, and He was always looking for any excuse to throw a party so he could cook a gourmet feast for his family and friends who he loved so much.

He really enjoyed cooking and was a trained culinary chef in The US Navy where he served his country. My uncle never had children of his own and never got married, but he loved children to no ends. Children gravitated to him because he was funny and he would always find a way to make them laugh. He used to volunteer his performance every year at a benefit for donations to economically needy children with the Salvation Army. He also used to donate whenever possible to orphanages, and churches.

As you all know he was an entertainer his whole life. He had an overflowing natural rythym that was God sent. He started dancing at the age of about 7 in the streets of Ybor, Tampa where crowds would gather round to witness his acrobatical dancing and moves like walking up ladders on his hands and spinning on his head, and showing people what break dancing would look like 30 years in the future. And he had a very good singing voice which he also  incorporated into his shows along with a lot of comedy. In the process he became well known among tons of celebrities from all over and he loved introducing his friends to his family, so those of us that were privleged got to meet some of those stars.  I had the pleasure of wishing Juan Gabriel a happy birthday on the telephone, and having a famous singer by the name of Timi Yuro babysit my daughter and several fun visits with her to Las Vegas, where she lived. And of course I was privleged to see a few of his shows. I totally understand why he had the nicknames of Mr Showman, and Mr Perpetual Motion.  He performed in New York, LA, Mexico, Vegas and a few other places as well. He was also recognized for his talent with many small parts in movies and tv shows dancing.

He specifically told me that he wanted us to have a celebration of life at his funeral with music and even dancing. I am very confident that with as many smiles, warm laughter  and friendship that he brought to people that he danced his way right into heaven. I love my Uncle with all my heart and I consider the fact that he moved out of his worn out house,.. a huge loss to those of us who appreciated what a wonderful soul he was, but a wonderful blessing that he is dancing, singing, .free of pain, no more limits, and reunited with all the rest of his wonderful family and friends that made that journey before him!

God Bless my Uncle Macho, and God Bless all of us.

I didn't know him well at all but I do know that he was well loved by all of his family. I hope that Valerie and all of his nieces and nephews will remember the  many great stories he told of his work which he loved. Heaven has claimed another angel.

Raul Morales (as I lovingly know him, my Tio "Macho") was the last branch of my Mother's family tree.  He was the most loving, giving, unselfish person I know.  He was always wanting to help others....bringing clothing, food or whatever he thought they were in need of.  He loved being around people and entertaining them by telling jokes and telling stories of his life.  I loved listening to him talk about the exciting life that he led in the entertainment business.  He was an entertainer, singer and comedian, but most of all he was my Tio Macho.  I will miss you so much, but feel relieved that you are released from your body that did not work anymore.  You are now free to dance and sing and entertain the way you love to do.  RIP Tio Macho

Raul was a very special and caring person, and also an excellent entertainer. My wife and I first met Raul at Cafe Pacifico , local piano bar located in Acapulco in 2000. The first time I saw him sing and the way he move his body for a man in his 70's just blew me away.  As the years went by we became close friends. Raul would always give my wife brand name clothing whenever he would return from Florida. We always looked forward to having him return to Acapulco around his birthday. Nov 18th I think. He gave me several tokens of Elvis memorabilia over the years.  But best of all he trusted us enough to have us over for dinner numerous times. Believe me he did not invite many. He trusted us and we will never forget  want an impact he Made on our lives. RIP our friend.
