He was born in Chicago and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree from DePaul University in Chicago.
Bob worked 45 years at Time Inc. – retired in 2005 and joined the Board of Directors of the National Postal Forum during his retired years. When he wasn't working, Bob enjoyed golfing, watching Notre Dame Football, spending time with his family, and watching his grandchildren play sports. Bob was a devoted member of St. Paul Catholic Church for many years.
He is survived by his loving wife, Mary Lou; children, Jim O'Brien (Karen), John O'Brien, and Joe O'Brien (Karen); grandchildren, Danny, Sara, Jack, Amanda, Madison, Carson, a great-grandson, Emmett, and many extended family members and friends.
IA memorial mass at St. Paul Catholic Church will be held at a later date. Celebration of Life will be held at Carrollwood Country Club on Saturday, December 21st from 4 pm – 7 pm. Please stop in at any time and join us for some food and drinks to remember Bob. Casual dress, please.
