Salvatore S. Maccaron (1930-2024) was married to his high school sweetheart Margaret Mary Fratello for fifty-two years. They lived for many years in Long Island, New York until they moved to Florida when Sal transferred operations of Citibank Traveler’s Checks Division from New York to Tampa Florida. While working at Citibank, he received his Bachelor of Arts degree from NYU. He was always a religious man and active in the Catholic Church, for example he was a Eucharist Minister and taught CCD. After he retired, he volunteered at the League of Mercy, a local food bank. He also enjoyed taking his family to Disney, it was the family happy place. He was a total family man, who we are all going to miss.
He is survived by his five children, Karen, Steven, Richard, Gary and Chris as well as his sister Cynthia and brother John. He had thirteen grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.
A visitation for Salvatore will be held Monday, July 1, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Blount & Curry Funeral Home-Carrollwood Chapel, 3207 W Bearss Ave, Tampa, Florida 33618, followed by a religious ceremony from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
