Susan Escobar Kuhn

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Susan “Susie” Kuhn, age 70, on December 22, 2024. Susie was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, who dedicated her life to teaching and guiding others.

Susan’s career in education spanned many years and made a lasting impact on countless students. She began her journey as a teacher at Dale Mabry Elementary and later served as Assistant Principal and then Principal at Morgan Woods Elementary, where her leadership and dedication to her students earned her the admiration and respect of colleagues, parents, and students alike.

Above all, Susan was deeply devoted to her family. She is survived by her loving daughters, Jennifer Kuhn (Tom Grapentine) and Jessica Upchurch (Charlie); her grandchildren, Chelsea Upchurch and Chase Upchurch; her sister, Pamela Cannella; her brother, Ray Michael Escobar (Lorrie); nieces, Gina O’Keefe (Charles) and Deana Cannella and great nieces and nephews. Susan’s warmth, wisdom, and love will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Rest in peace, Susan. Your legacy of love, teaching, and guidance will live on in the hearts of all you touched.

A graveside service for Susan will be held Saturday, January 4, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at Garden of Memories Cemetery, Tampa, Tampa, FL 33610.
