Tim was born to James and Carol Hamilton and was raised in Iola, KS and Overland Park, KS. He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Billie Jo Hamilton, his daughters Charlotte Hamilton of Tampa and Dawn Hamilton of Gladstone, MO., his sister Linda Breneman of Louisburg, KS, two grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
He was a graduate of Emporia State University (KS) and worked as an accountant for several small businesses, a big 12 accounting firm, a University hospital and most recently for Franklin Street.
He was a 4 sport athlete in high school and was drafted by the Omaha Royals after graduation. He loved to watch baseball (any sport really!), work in his yard, cheer on KU Jayhawks basketball, listen to classic rock ‘n’ roll and show his 1967 Chevelle. He became a true Floridian upon moving to Tampa in 2008, embracing cruising in the Caribbean, wearing a fedora, and sporting a wide array of tropical shirts!
During his 11 ½ year battle with cancer, he displayed dignity, courage, and grace as he tried every treatment option until there were no more. His family and friends will miss he quiet demeanor and supportive and loving presence.
A Gathering of family and friends for Timothy will be held Thursday, September 23, 2021 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
