

KAHLER Jr., Truman E., 78, passed away on February 4, 2015 with his loving family by his side. Predeceased by son, Lee T. Kahler; first wife, Marlene Kahler; parents, Truman E. Kahler and Jaffela Jones; brother, Lee T. Kahler and sisters, Lorena Crabbe, Betty Bridges and Barbara Seitz. He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Diana F. Kahler; children, Perry E. Kahler (Vicki), Wayne D. Kahler, Valerie C. Busciglio and beloved granddaughter, Emerson A. Busciglio. He was born in Leck Kill, PA. He retired from the US Air Force following twenty years of service. Truman was involved in the missile program and early computerization. He proudly served at the Pentagon, Vietnam, Thailand, Greenland, and many years at SAC Headquarters in Bellevue, NE. Following his Air Force career, Truman graduated from Creighton University in Omaha, NE. He was a classroom teacher at the elementary level in Bellevue, NE before moving to Plant City, Florida, where he taught gifted students at Knights, Forest Hills, and Walden Lake Elementary Schools. After retiring from teaching in 1995, he and his wife, Diana traveled across the country in their RV for the last twenty years. A celebration of Truman’s life will take place at 5:00 pm, Sunday, February 8th at Blount & Curry Funeral Home - Carrollwood Chapel, 3207 West Bearss Ave. Tampa, Florida with the family receiving friends two hours prior to the service.
