Yolanda M. Negrin

Yolanda Maria Negrin, age 96, of Tampa, Florida passed away on Saturday, August 26, 2023; the second oldest of 6 children, was born on April 17, 1927, in Las Villas, Cuba to Francisco Jimenez and Inocencia Borroto.

She went on to meet the love of her life Pedro Negrin with whom she was with until his passing in 1993. In 1968, they immigrated to the United States where they began a new life to provide more opportunities for their children.

Yolanda was a devoted wife and mother who poured her heart and soul into raising her family. She also continued to care for her remaining family in Cuba throughout her life.

Yolanda believed family came first, a value she instilled in those around her. She was a talented seamstress, loved cooking, was fiercely independent and had an infectious laugh. She will be forever missed.

Grateful for having shared her life are her children Ana Rosa Muina (Rafael), Pedro F. Negrin (Denise), Victor Rafael Negrin, sister Justica Jimenez, grandchildren Tanya Shorthouse, Yesenia Muina, Diana Muina, and Alexander Negrin, great grandchild Blake Andrew Shorthouse, and many other relatives and friends.

Yolanda was preceded in death by her parents Francisco and Inocencia Jimenez, brothers Jose Luis Jimenez, Diego Jimenez, Justo Jimenez, and her sister Aracelia Jimenez.

Yolanda María Negrín, la segunda de un grupo de 6 hermanos, nació el 17 de abril de 1927 en Las Villas, Cuba, hija de Francisco Jiménez e Inocencia Borroto.

Luego conoció al amor de su vida Pedro Negrín con quien estuvo casada hasta el fallecimiento de este, en 1993. En 1968, emigraron a los Estados Unidos, donde comenzaron una nueva vida para brindar más oportunidades a sus hijos.

Yolanda era una esposa y madre devota que derramó su corazón y alma en criar a su familia. También continuó cuidando a su familia restante en Cuba durante toda su vida.

Yolanda creía que la familia era lo primero, un valor que inculcó en quienes la rodeaban. Era una talentosa costurera, le encantaba cocinar, era ferozmente independiente y tenía una risa contagiosa. Ella será extrañada para siempre.

Agradecidos por haber compartido su vida están sus hijos Ana Rosa Muina (Rafael), Pedro F. Negrín (Denise), Víctor Rafael Negrín, su hermana Justica Jiménez, sus nietos Tanya Shorthouse, Yesenia Muina, Diana Muina y Alexander Negrín, bisnieto Blake Andrew Shorthouse y muchos otros familiares y amigos.

Yolanda fue precedida en la muerte por sus padres Francisco e Inocencia Jiménez, sus hermanos José Luis Jiménez, Diego Jiménez, Justo Jiménez y su hermana Aracelia Jiménez.
