Bill Posey

Bill Posey, 63, of Thorndale, passed away August 30 2012. Bill was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church of Thorndale, a proud member of the American Legion, an Associate Member of the Thorndale Volunteer Fire Department, and served his country with great pride as a Medic with the Sea and Air Rescue of the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. Bill realized his dream of owning land and horses, and was most proud of his 4 sons – John, Dustin, Chris and Joe as well as his Grand-daughter Autumn. Bill married the love of his life Debi Rutledge in 1990 and they spent many wonderful years together as best friends.

Bill is survived by his wife, Debi, as well as his sons: John (Denise) Posey of Lenexa, Kansas; Dustin (Magen) Posey of San Marcos; Chris Posey and Joseph Posey; his daughter Suzanne Posey of Austin; his sister Teresa Laurence of Hutto; his mother Margie Posey of Thrall; his mother-in-law and father-in-law Barbara & Homer Rutledge of Thorndale, as well as his grand-daughter Autumn, as well as several nieces and nephews and a host of friends. Bill never met a stranger and was best friends to all he met.

Memorial Donations can be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church of Thorndale (School Fund).

Visitation will be 6-8pm at Condra Funeral Home on Tuesday September 4th 2012, with a prayer service at 7pm.

Funeral Services will be held in St. Paul Lutheran Church of Thorndale at 10am.
