Charles Ewald Schroeder died unexpectedly in Bastrop, TX on May 26, 2015 at the age of 65. He was born on September 22, 1949 in San Antonio, TX and grew up in Austin. He graduated from Lanier High School and attended the University of Texas at Austin.
Charles was an entrepreneur. He was a roofer, a builder, and was always in search of a good deal. He found value in almost anything. He enjoyed fishing & hunting, but most recently enjoyed reading, watching TV, and tending his plants.
Charles never met a stranger, got along with all walks of life and would go out of his way to help others.
Charles is survived by his mother Esther Schroeder; his sister Diana Jones, her children Brent Walker and wife Melissa, Christopher Walker, & Omega Graninger; his children, Vicki Miertschin and husband Keith, Chuck Schroeder and wife Erin, Steven Schroeder, and Kevin Schroeder; and five grandchildren. He is predeceased by his father Ewald W. Schroeder.
A graveside service led by Dr. Elvis Willams will be held at City of Taylor Cemetery, Taylor, TX at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 6.
