Cyril Wolf

Cyril S. Wolf passed away Sunday May 6th 2012 at his home in Taylor at the age of 90. He was born to John P. Wolf and Julia (Machacek) Wolf on October 22nd 1921. He graduated from Granger High in 1940 and enlisted in the US Navy in 1942. He proudly served during WWII as a Motor Machinist Mate and received an honorable discharge in 1945. He returned to Granger and married Margaret Kocurek in 1946. He was a life-long farmer and proprietor of Wolf’s BarBQ in Granger. After retiring he and his wife moved to Taylor in 2004.

Cyril is preceded in death by his parents, his 5 sisters and 4 brothers, and his son Patrick Wolf who passed away in 1988.

Cyril is survived by his wife of 66 years Margaret; his son Cyril Wolf (Betty), grandson C.J. Wolf (Kendra) and great granddaughter Kensley; his son Jodie Wolf (Bonnie), grandson Jason Wolf (Kate), great grandchildren Lane, Katelyn, And Lanning, granddaughter Kendra Miner (Jon), and great grandson Easton; his daughter Mary Srnensky, grandsons Stefan, Spencer (Sharon), great grandsons John and James, granddaughters Selene Kellam (Jamie), great granddaughter Zoey.

His pallbearers will be his six grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested contribution to Ss. Cyril & Methodius School or Church.
