

Ella Mae Crocker, age 89, left this world to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday May 17, 2014. Ella was born on March 5, 1925 in Winnie, TX to John Arthur Harmon and Ida Espriel (Epsie) New. On November 20, 1943 Ella married Thomas Eirvine Crocker, her husband of 42 years. The two remained together happily until his death on March 1, 1986. Ella Mae and her husband lived in Baytown, TX where he worked until the late 70’s when they moved to east Texas to Gallatin, just outside of Rusk, TX. Later she moved to Troup, TX. When her health became an issue her Grand-daughter LaJuana Hurd and Family brought her to live with them. Some of Ella’s life she worked as a waitress but mostly she was a dedicated homemaker. She loved southern gospel music, but mostly she loved caring for her family, who brought her so much joy. She loved people and in 1981 she dedicated her life to serving the Lord Jesus Christ. Ella faithfully attended New Life of Taylor United Pentecostal Church and was a true blessing to her pastor and all who knew her.Ella Mae Crocker will truly be missed, but we know she is with her Lord Jesus right Now!
Ella was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Crocker, and her sister Audrey Toliver.She is survived by her children, Thomas Earl Crocker of Lindale, TX, Shirley Fay Durning of Mt. Pleasant , AR, and Floyd Dalton Crocker of Plano, TX; her siblings, Melva Blankenship of Silsbee, TX, Dorothy Casto of ADA, OK, and Willie (Sonny) Harmon of Weatherford, TX; her grandchildren, Michael, Michelle, Timothy, LaJuana, Thomas, Sharon, Cindy, and Mark; and numerous great grandchildren.
Services will be held on Tuesday May 20, 2014 at 10 am at New Life of Taylor United Pentecostal Church with Pastor Roy L. Hutton officiating. Burial will take place at Little Flock Cemetery in Bronson, TX.
Arrangements under the direction of Condra Funeral Home, Taylor, TX.
