

Johnny Roose, Life-long resident of Taylor, passed away on Monday, January 7, 2013, following a short illness, in the company of his loving family. Johnny was born September 20, 1956 in Taylor to parents Juanita Maxwell Roose and Fredrick Vernon Roose.
Johnny will be remembered as a man who loved his family, loved hunting, and loved his dogs, Shiloh and Charley. He will be remembered by those who knew him as good-natured, thoughtful, and an agreeable man.
He graduated from Taylor High School in 1975, where he was president of the Taylor High School Band. He spent one year at Texas Tech in Lubbock, and returned to Taylor to work as a power plant operator for Alcoa and for Industrial Generating Company. Following retirement, he lived with his dogs at his country home in the Beaukiss Community.
Johnny was preceded in death by his grandparents, Aaron and Velma Maxwell, and Gussie and Eric Roose, and by his mother, Juanita Roose. He is survived by his Father, Fred Roose of Taylor, his sister Teri Rocz and husband Tony Rocz of Oxford, Mississippi, many aunts, uncles, nephews and cousins, and many friends.
Funeral Services will be held at Condra Funeral Home in Taylor, Texas, on Thursday, January 10, 2013, at 10:00 am. Johnny’s uncle, Reverend Joe Sandifer, of Waco will officiate. Pallbearers will be Aaron Maxwell, Spencer Maxwell, Jason Sandifer, Neils Beery, Jeff Rinderknecht, and Charles Clark. Interment will be at the Taylor City Cemetery.
