Johnnie E. Pospisil, 84, of Bartlett, Texas, passed away on November 30, 2025, at a rehabilitation facility in Temple, Texas. He was born on November 4, 1941, to Johnnie and Angeline Pospisil. He was a very hard worker from an early age, spending many
years in various jobs. He was a man who showed up every day with purpose and pride in what he did.
Johnnie began his career at Wilsonart on April 1, 1968, in the Pressing Department. He later worked in the panel division as a truck driver and in the Specialty Products department performing warehouse maintenance. After 40 years of devoted service, “Pops” retired on December 12, 2008.
He thoroughly enjoyed his trips to Shiner and LaGrange, where he sought out their famous smoked sausage, kolaches, and any other treats he could find. His greatest joy, however, was attending the annual Praha picnic held each August. Year after year, the people there came to know him very well, and his presence became part of the wonderful celebration.
Johnnie is preceded in death by his parents, Johnnie and Angeline Pospisil. Though he will be deeply missed, we take comfort in knowing he is reunited with them and held in the loving arms of God.
A visitation will be held Monday, December 8, 2025, from 4:00–6:00 PM at Goodnight, Funeral Home in Bartlett, Texas. Graveside burial will follow on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Holy Cross Cemetery in Granger, Texas.
