Joyce Richardson

Joyce was born in Whitney Texas on October 4th, 1933 to the late Bernice Russell Reavis and Charles Leo Tunstall.

Joyce and her twin sister won the title of Miss Lake Whitney as young ladies and always held that dear to her. Even though Joyce had many accomplishments through her career, she held mother and friend as her most cherished accomplishment. She cherished family and her experience with each interaction with them.

Joyce married Joseph Peter Ruzic and had 3 children, Carla Jo Ruzic(deceased), Joseph P Ruzic Jr. of Mabank Texas and Brenda Joyce McDaniel(deceased) of Pflugerville Texas.

Joyce divorced Joe in 1975 and married Jim Richardson afterwards.

After divorcing Jim, Joyce moved to Pflugerville where she worked for WalMart as security. Joyce landed her dream job with Applied Research Laboratories and made wonderful friends who she kept in touch with until her death. Joyce was known as the Popcorn lady, a title she loved. She brought popcorn to the lab for all to enjoy. She loved doing for others and seeing their smiles.

Joyce is survived by her son Joseph P Ruzic Jr., daughter in law Dawn Jeffery Ruzic, Joseph P Ruzic III, Paige Nichole Ruzic, 5 grandchildren, sister’s Charlene Olbrich and Betty Kay Morlan.

Joyce moved to Cedar Creek lake with Joe and Dawn 3 years ago. She loved the lake and all the activity on it.
