Lillie was born on July 15, 1940 to Benito Osuna Sr. and Maria Rangel Osuna in Andice, TX where she grew up. On September 7, 1968 she married the love of her life, her soul mate, Domingo Concha of Bartlett, TX, where they did reside for 45 years. On May 29, 1969 they gave birth to their only child Mary Margaret.
During her life time she worked with children. She ran her own day care for several years before going to work for Georgetown ISD for 18 years as a teacher’s aide for children with special needs. She loved her “kids” and she loved to talk and tell stories about them.
She is survived by her husband, Domingo Concha of Bartlett, TX; her daughter, Mary Margaret Torres and husband Michael of Taylor, TX; her grandson, Christopher Lee Benavides of Bartlett, TX; her granddaughter, Anna-Lisa Marie Torres of Taylor, TX; her brothers, Fred Osuna of Florence, TX, Pat Osuna of Andice, TX, and John Osuna and wife Nance of Andice, TX; and her sister, Julia Osuna of Georgetown, TX. As well as many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Benito Osuna Sr. and Maria Rangel Osuna; her brothers, Benito Osuna Jr. and Marcelino Osuna; her sisters, Antonia “Tony” Zavala and Felicitas “Lecha” Zavala; 2 sisters-in-law; 2brothers-in law; and many nieces and nephews.
Lillie touched many lives, and she never met a stranger. Someone once told me “I think Mrs. Lillie could make the wall talk”. Along with the ability to make people talk she had a contagious smile and you couldn’t help but smile when she was around. She was a truly amazing person and will be missed by many.
Visitation will be held on Friday May 30th from 6pm to 8pm at Goodnight Funeral Home in Bartlett, TX with a rosary at 7pm. Mass will be held on Saturday May 31st at 10 am at Ss. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church in Granger, TX. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
I wanted to say a special thanks to all the people that cared for mom at Estrella Oaks Nursing Facility, Gentiva Hospice, St David’s Georgetown, and a very extra special thanks to our nurse in the ICU unit, Albert Mosley, whom did a tremendous job taking care of mom’s needs with such love, compassion, and caring. He truly went above and beyond and is a very amazing person. I could never thank you enough for all you did, and to all my loving family and friends that supported us during this difficult time.
