Lorene Decker

Lorene Elizabeth Decker, 99, of Hutto, Texas passed away on Tuesday, April 18, 2023. Lorene was born in Taylor, Texas on March 16,, 1924 to Walter and Lillie Teichelman. She married Marvin Decker on November 26, 1946. They were married for 49 years. She proudly worked alongside Marvin on the family farm and made their home a second home for their son Wayne's friends, her grandchildren and their friends. Many stories have been told about some of their best childhood memories were at "Nanny"s" house. Using the barn as a playhouse, enjoying her chicken fried steaks, her ham sandwiches and her special cookies.

Lorene is survived by her son, Wayne and wife Patsy; grandchildren, Marc Decker and fiancé Belinda DePrisco, Leslie Decker, Stephen Miller, and Stephanie Blair and husband Ryan; great grandchildren, McKenzie Decker, Mason Decker, Marshall Decker, Taylor Tumey and fiancé Jeffery Hedstrom, and

Hunter Blair; one great-great grandson, Maverick Wayne Hedstrom; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Lorene is preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Decker; her parents, Walter and Lillie Teichelman; brothers, Roland Teichelman and Emery Teichelman; and sister, Viola Moenhke. The family would like to thank the SPJST Assisted Living and Senior Care facilities and staff for their care. Also the outpouring of support and love from family and friends.

A visitation will be held Friday, April 21, 2023 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Condra Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 22, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Condra Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Taylor City Cemetery, Taylor, TX.

Serving as pallbearers will be Marc Decker, Marshall Decker, Kirby Priest, Chris Fritz, Alan Teichelman, and Ryan Blair. Honorary pallbearers will be Calvin Schaeffer, Randall Tucek, Hunter Blair, and Jeffery Hedstrom.
