

He was born to the late William and Mary Burgett Glendening, May 5, 1924, in Taylor, Texas. He married Kathryn Murchison Glendening on June 6, 1949. He served with the U.S. Army in World War II. Upon returning home, he was a professional musician with the Jimmy Heap Band for 35 years.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Kathryn Glendening; his two children: Kay Glendening of Austin and Bill and wife Cheryl Glendening of Round Rock; his grandson and ol' partner, Chad Glendening of Round Rock; and special family friend, Sheila Nagy of Austin.
The family wishes to thank Dr. David Kessler, M.D., Karen Casey, RN MSN CSN, Marina Ogden, RN with Lighthouse Hospice and the caring staff at the Austin Heart Hospital.
William Gilbert Glendening will be laid to rest in a private family service through Condra Funeral Home.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church of Taylor or the charity of your choice.
