Bonnie O. Russell

She was a member of Haynes Flat Baptist Church. She was also a 50 year member of The Order of the Eastern Star. She was a very active person who raised a ½ acre garden until she was 94 years of age and gave most of it away. She loved to can, freeze and prepare for her family and her community and felt compelled to feed whoever can to her door. She was a great cook and she loved to serve.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Russell; parents, Garfield and Eva Clawson; sisters, Muriel Sharp, Cecil Goins and Sara Bett Brown; brothers, Ralph Clawson and George Clawson.

She is survived by her

son: John (Phyllis) Russell of Harrogate, Tn.

Daughters, Jessie (Walt) Ashe of Greeneville, Tn.

Alice Faye (Jim) Ward of North Carolina

Grandchildren: Cindy Hemminger, Jennifer Ward, Shan Alexander, Dr. Mark Russell, Dee Ashe, Jim Ashe, Bonnie Ashe, Amy Campbell and Sam Ashe

11 great grandchildren

several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Wed., Feb. 15, 2012 at Coffey Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held at 11:00am at Coffey Funeral Home Chapel in Harrogate, Tn. with burial to follow in the Harrogate Cemetery. John Russell will officiate the service with Shan Alexander to sing. Pallbearers: Dr. Mark Russell, Dee Ashe, Jim Ashe, Sam Ashe, Matt Campbell and Wes Alexander.
