James E. Johns, age 69, of Tazewell, Tennessee passed away September 1, 2021 peacefully at home with his wife and two daughters by his side. Ed was born April 24, 1952. He was a member and active deacon of Raven Hill Missionary Baptist Church and active board member of the Co-op. He enjoyed working on the farm and spending time with his family and his beloved dog Molly, that he loved dearly. He touched so many lives.
Ed was preceded in death by his parents Porter and Ruby Johns, son Allen Johns, sister Margie Moles.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years Carolyn Johns. Sister Sue (Joe) James. Daughters Melissa Johns and Karen (Mark) Reece all of Tazewell, TN. Grandchildren Kayla (Josh) Norwood of Kodak, TN., Matthew (Tiffany) Johns, Tyler (Savannah) Johns, Chase Reece, Sarah Reece, and Olivia Reece. Great grandchildren Madilyn Norwood, Aubrey Norwood. And a very special brother-in-law Skip and Janice Reece. As well as a host of other family and friends.
The family will receive friends and family September 3, 2021 from 5 until 9 PM at Coffey Funeral Home. Funeral service will be September 4, 2021 at 10 AM in the Coffey Funeral Home chapel, graveside service to follow in the Reece Cemetery.
