Nervie Elsie Davis

Nervie Elsie Davis age 94 of Tazewell, TN was born June 18, 1918 in Hancock, County Tennessee. Passed away December 23, 2012 at the Claiborne County Nursing Home . She professed faith in Jesus Christ at an early age and was a member of Ida’s Chapel Baptist Church. Mrs. Davis was preceded in death by her parents, Milmon and Dorcas Winkler Barnard, husband Mr. Buford M. Davis, daughter and son-in-law Jean and Bob Wilmoth, son Mr. Ray B. Davis, Grandson Mr. Fred R. Davis, Step-grandsons David and Brian Rush, sisters Nellie Moles, Ethel Baumgardner and Velvie Dotson, brothers Landon and Cecil Barnard.

She is survived by her granddaughters and their husbands: DiAnne and Gary West of New Tazewell, TN, Karen and Scott Bull of Seymour, TN

Julie and Larry Davis of Douglasville, GA.

She also leaves behind her Great –Grandchildren: Sara West , Lauren, Leslie and David Bull, and Alec and Jonah Davis.

Mrs. Davis is also survived by several special nieces and nephews cousins and a host of dear friends.

The family also extends special thanks to Dr. Luis Pannochia , Dr. Charles DeBusk, the Claiborne County Hospital Staff, Claiborne County Rehabilitation services and the Claiborne County Nursing home Staff.

The family will receive friends Wednesday December 26 from 11am-1pm at the Coffey Funeral Home chapel in New Tazewell, with the funeral service to follow at 1:00pm in the chapel with Bob Sparks officiating , burial in the Winkler –Barnard Cemetery . Pallbearers: Gary West, Scott Bull, Jim Kirk, Larry Davis, Archie Parker , Howard Bull. In lieu of Flowers the family requests that donations be made to Ida’s Chapel Baptist church in care of Julia Sutton 163 Chevy Lane Sneedville , TN37869.
