PINKARD, Carolyn Aronson, 91, of Tampa, FL. passed away on Wednesday, March 23, 2016. She was born in Proctor, Vermont daughter to Elsa Marie Carlson and Melcher Aronson on April 3, 1924. She graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Vermont and received her doctorate in psychology from the University of Florida. She was a diplomate in clinical psychology and taught as an adjunct at the University of South Florida for a number of years. She also worked in private practice in the Tampa Bay area. Her love and affinity for writing are apparent in her four published books. One of which she co-authored with her grandchildren when they were young. She instilled in them a great love for creativity through words. She is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Calvin M Pinkard; sons Mark (Tamara) and Eric Pinkard, grandchildren Ben and Clarice Pinkard, many nieces and nephews and her faithful dog, Cosmo. A memorial service will be held, 3pm Friday, April 8th, 2016 at Blount and Curry, Terrace Oaks Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the USF Health Byrd Alzheimer’s Institute in Carolyn’s honor.
