

CADRECHA, Charles William (Bill) 87, of Tampa and Pasco County passed away Saturday, January 9, 2016. Born in Tampa, FL, Bill attended Jefferson High School, Marion Military Institute, where he played football, and received his BS from the University of Florida. He was a member of Delta Chi fraternity. Bill was a founding member and first commander of the elite Morgan’s Raiders Drill Team at Marion Military Institute. He served as president of the Tampa Jaycees, president of the Ybor Chamber of Commerce and City Council Member for the city of Indian Shores, FL. Bill served in the Army as a 1st Lieutenant during the Korean Conflict. While in Germany, he was selected to escort General Dwight D. Eisenhower throughout the country. He was cofounder, with his brother, of Tampa Wholesale Furniture Co. and Design Interiors and served as Secretary and Treasurer until his retirement in 1994. Through his vision and hard work, Tampa Wholesale Furniture was the largest supplier of furniture in Florida to the mobile home industry and Design Interiors served as Florida’s premier supplier to the Interior Design trade. Bill was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing from a very young age. Retirement gave him more time to enjoy the outdoors and spend time at his cabin on the Homosassa River. Bill was predeceased by his parents, Belarmino and Lucretia Cadrecha and grandson Eric Cadrecha. He is survived by his son, Charles C. Cadrecha; daughters, Cheryl Cadrecha, Deborah Davis, Carol Cadrecha & Elena Cadrecha; brother, Bob Cadrecha; nine grandchildren and ten great- grandchildren. Funeral services will be held, 12:00 p.m., Saturday, January 16, 2016 at Blount & Curry, Terrace Oaks Chapel, Temple Terrace, with Father Robert Cadrecha officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Garden of Memories Cemetery, Tampa.
