

Diane Dryden Young, age 73, of Land O’ Lakes, Florida. Passed away on Saturday, October 12th, 2024. She was born September 12th, 1951, in Tampa, FL to loving parents, Nyle and Theodore Dryden. Diane graduated from Robinson High School, Tampa, FL in 1969.
Diane Young, who met her husband Ernest in 1969, together they shared a beautiful 54 years of love and companionship. She served as a postal carrier for over 30 years with the United States Postal Service before retiring.
Family was at the heart of Diane’s life; her grandchildren and great-grandchildren brought her immense joy. She cherished moments spent on the back porch, whether cheering for the Buccaneers or Tampa Bay Rays, or watching the kids splash in the pool. She adored her getaways to Treasure Island, where she would sit in the sand with a drink in hand, enjoying the sunset. Fishing in Tampa Bay was another beloved pastime.
A devoted supporter of her husband, Diane and family spent many weekends at Sunshine Speedway, where Ernest raced in the Street Stock and Sportsman classes. The family also enjoyed hunting seasons at their camp in Gulf Hammock, where Diane created countless cherished memories with her loved ones.
One of Diane's favorite things was enjoying all kinds of music; it was a vital part of everything she did.
She was joyfully united with her parents; her brother, Theodore Dryden JR. & sister, Julie Dryden Cusson.
Survivors include her loving husband Ernest O. Young; son, Randall R. Young; daughter Kelly S. Young; brother, Douglas Dryden (Joyce); sister, Suann Dryden; grandchildren, Taelynn and Colby Young; and great-grandchildren, Rylee Lynn, River James Sharpe, and Carter Lynn Young.
She was loved by all who knew her, and her absence will be felt deeply, and cherished by many.
A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
