AuBuchon, Irene E., 81, passed away on January 8, 2015. She is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Leon; sons Peter (Maureen) and Michael (Renee); grandchildren Tyler, Amelia, Maria, and John and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Michael and Anna Mattey and siblings Paul, Mary Ann, Margaret, Helen, Anna Mae, Michael, John and Lillian. Irene was born and raised in Brownsville, PA. She met her husband, Leon, on a blind date in Cleveland, OH. They lived in Columbus, OH and Pittsburgh, PA before moving to Tampa in 1967. Irene worked as the school secretary at Morning Star School and then as the parish secretary at Most Holy Redeemer Catholic Church for more than 30 years. She was a devout Catholic and was a member of Most Holy Redeemer Parish. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother and loved spending time with her grandchildren. Irene was intelligent, loved to read and was an incredible cook of all things Slovak. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. A funeral Mass will be held at Most Holy Redeemer Catholic Church on Monday, January 19, 2015 at 1:00 PM. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
