She graduated from Paschal High School in Ft. Worth in 1945. Bobbie lived in Ft. Worth until 1949 when she met and married the love of her life Lee Phelps. They enjoyed 67 years of blissful marriage.
She and Lee moved to Austin and she started her career. She was honored to work in both the House of Representatives and the Senate for many years, and retired from Women in Communications as their Chief Financial Officer.
