Cindy Ann Hobizal

Born on December 10, 1965, in Lampasas, Texas, to Charlie and Mary Kathryn Word, Cindy was a lifelong Texan. She graduated from Lampasas High School, where she played clarinet in the band, and continued her education at Central Texas College.

In 1993, Cindy married the love of her life, Dennis Hobizal. Together, they shared 33 wonderful years of marriage defined by deep devotion and a shared love for their family.

Cindy’s professional life was defined by her dedication and care. She spent over 30 years as a medical transcriptionist before finishing her career as the Office Manager for Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home, where her compassion and steady hand were a comfort to many.

Cindy was known for her quick wit and a competitive spirit that truly came alive during family game nights. She was an avid fan of game shows and loved nothing more than watching March Madness every spring. She found her greatest relaxation floating in the pool every chance she had with her sister and cherished her annual girls' trips and cruises with her close friends. Above all, she was the bedrock of her family, leaving behind a legacy of deep-rooted love and nurturing care.

Cindy is survived by her beloved husband, Dennis Hobizal of Temple; her children, Heather Gallagher (Pauline), Hunter Hobizal, and Jeramie Hobizal (Elizabeth); her brother, Kenneth Word (Betty); and her sisters, Darla Rogers (Tommy) and Kathy Valles; as well as a host of loving nieces, nephews, and extended family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Mary Kathryn Word.

Visitation will be held at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home in Temple, Texas, on February 19, 2026, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. A Celebration of Life will take place at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home in Temple, on February 20, 2026 at 6:00 pm.
