Eileen "Sandy" Geissler

Eileen K. Geissler “Sandy”, age 71, passed away in her home on Wednesday October 12, 2016.
Sandy was born in Washington D.C. to COL Gregory and Eileen (Donnelly) Keenan and was the youngest of three daughters. She graduated from Texas Women’s University with a degree in Occupational Therapy. She then joined the USAF Reserves where she served at Wilford Hall hospital and was honorably discharged as a First Lieutenant.
She married Wallace Hugh “Bill” Geissler, Jr. in 1969 and her only child, Wallace Hugh “Wally” Geissler, III was born in 1971. After divorcing Bill, Sandy worked for the next 35 years as an OTR for the Veterans Administration and many other rehabilitation clinics throughout Texas.
She retired from the VA last year. Her hobbies included making pottery, knitting and spoiling her grandchildren.
She is survived by her sisters, Gail Eigel and Josephine Chappel, her son Wally, daughter-in-law Ashley (Guidry) and her three grandchildren, Jacob, Owen and Ainsley.
A rosary will be held at St. Luke’s church on Saturday, October 22, 2016 at 10 AM . The memorial service will be held at St. Luke's church on Saturday, October 22, 2016 at 11 AM followed by a reception. The burial will be on Monday, October 24, 2016 at Seaside Memorial Park in Corpus Christi, TX where she will be laid to rest beside her parents.
