Elizabeth Agnes Bunte

Elizabeth Agnes Bunte, age 101, of Temple, Texas passed away at Cornerstone Gardens on Saturday, May 31, 2025 in Temple. Elizabeth was born on May 24, 1924 in Jarrell, Texas, to Henry and Mary Palousek (Mekush).

Elizabeth was a retired seamstress. She had an ongoing sense of respect and intense concern of how to treat people with understanding and compassion. Her sewing customers quickly became her endearing friends.

Elizabeth was a loving wife and dedicated mother. She married Walter Bunte from Holland, Texas on June 15, 1947. They were blessed with two daughters, Rhonda and Brenda.

Elizabeth is survived by her daughters Rhonda Bunte of Dallas and Brenda Mickley of Temple; her sister Mary Ann Croy of Temple; and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Walter, of 57 years of marriage; her parents Henry and Mary Palousek; sister Emily Michalk, and brothers Johnnie Palousek, Edwin Palousek, and Emil Palousek.

Services will be Friday, June 20th at 11:00 AM at the Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home, Temple, Texas. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society or American Heart Association.
