Ellen Jones

She was born October 9, 1924 in Kansas City, Kansas to Monroe and Myrtle Ingram Knight. She married Jackson W. Jones December 26, 1941 and lived in Aransas Pass prior to moving to Baytown in 1960. After suffering a fall and hip surgery in February, she was transported to Temple for rehab, but unrelated complications cause her health to rapidly decline.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jackson W Jones in 1981; sons, Jack Jones in 2008 and James Howard Jones on July 30, 2012.

Lorraine is survived by her sister, Pauline Sullivan of Chandler, AZ; brother, Don F. Knight of Phoenix, her daughter Caryl Jones Connaway (Morris Joe) of Temple, a son, Larry Duane Jones (Mary) of Baytown, 14 grandchildren, about 32 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews and many good friends.

At her request, there will be only immediate family to celebrate her "Homegoing" at a future date at Earthman Memory Gardens.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home of Temple.
