A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, October 13, 2015 at 10:00 AM at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Temple with Father Steve officiating. Burial will follow at Woodland Cemetery in Rosebud. A Rosary will be recited on Monday evening at 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
Lewis was born I on October 31, 1934 in Falls County, Texas to Albert and Mattie Witcher Goertz. He graduated from Lott High School and later from Tarleton and Texas A&M. Lewis moved to Temple in 1982 where he worked for the Texas Department of Agriculture as an inspector.
He was preceded in death by his parents as well as three brothers, Gerald, Eugene, and James Goertz and a sister Rosemary Sheguit.
Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home in Temple is in charge of the arrangements.
