Funeral services for Gloria H. Carnell 73, of Temple will be on Friday January 25, 2013 at 9:30 AM at Taylors Valley Baptist Church. Burial will follow the service at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen. She passed away on January 22, 2013 in a Harker Heights hospital.
Mrs. Carnell was born to Marvin and Leslie Hines on March 5, 1939 in New Albany, Mississippi. She grew up in a Christian family being saved at the age of 9. She met and married Jim, as an Air Force wife she traveled to many places around the world.
She and Jim were blessed with two wonderful children born into their family. She worked in retail sales at C.R. Anthony’s and J. C. Penny for many years. After retirement she enjoyed traveling with friends.
She is survived by her husband Jim, son Jeffery and wife Kerry, a daughter Deborah McCoy and husband Rocky, four grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
There will be a time of visitation on Thursday January 24, 2013 at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home in Temple from 6-8 PM.
