Inez Beadle

Inez Beadle, 85, of Holland, passed away at home on May 1, 2022. Inez was born in the Taylor’s Valley Community, near Temple on November 10, 1936 to Carroll and Mary Deaver. Inez was one of three children. She had a brother Irvin, and a sister Virginia. Inez was born a twin; however, her twin died at birth. Inez graduated from Academy High School in 1954. She played softball and was a cheerleader in high school. She later graduated from The Temple Beauty College in 1957. She was a long time beautician, retiring in November of 1992.

She owned her own beauty salon for most of her career.

Inez married L.M. “Speedy” Beadle on September 18, 1954 in Taylor’s Valley. The couple were the parents to a daughter, Debra and a son Kyle. They also had a daughter, Shelly, that died at birth.

Inez loved gardening, the Dallas Cowboys and Baylor’s Lady Bears basketball. She loved go camping with her family. She helped her husband in raising cattle. She also enjoyed shopping, cooking and baking.

Mrs. Beadle has been a member of the First Baptist Church in Academy for 47 years. She was active in Sunday school, the Benevolence Committee and she also taught children’s Sunday school.

Inez was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Shelly, her parents and her brother and sister.

She is survived by her husband L.M. “Speedy” Beadle, her daughter Debra Dorsey and son Kyle Beadle, all of Holland, TX. Surviving Mrs. Beadle are 6 grandchildren, Kory, Koby, Amber, Jordan, Chad and London. Inez also had 10 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be Tuesday, May 3, at Crawford Bowers Funeral Home in Temple from 6-8 pm. Funeral services will be held at 11 am Wednesday, May 4, at the First Baptist Church in Academy, TX. Revs. Brent Boatwright and Wayne Wester will officiate. Burial will follow at Wilson Valley Cemetery.
