

Memorial services for Mary Renick Norman Taylor, 82, of Belton, will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, July 15, at Armstrong Community School in Belton. Friends will be invited to share their memories. Mrs. Taylor passed away Saturday, July 2, 2011 in a Temple hospital. Cremation services have been entrusted to Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home of Temple.
Mary was born Oct 18, 1928 in Brownwood, TX to Dillard Shofner Renick and Christine Woodward Renick. She moved from Brownwood to Bell County at age 12 and resided here until her passing. Mary attended Armstrong Community School in Belton and graduated from Belton High School in 1946. She was employed, and retired after 20 years at the Bell County District Clerks Office, serving as Chief Deputy District Clerk. She married Henry Taylor Jr. at their home in Belton. Mary enjoyed gardening, spending time with family and her weekly card playing with Colleen, Vernie and Connie.
Mrs. Taylor was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Bruce Renick, and by her husband Henry Taylor, Jr.
Survivors include five sons: Denny Norman and wife Shelia of Sparks, Dutch Norman and wife Linda of Moody, Dick Norman and wife Janice of Lyons, Steve Norman and wife Brenda of Langtry, and Chris Norman of Belton; one daughter, Robin Norman Aldridge and husband Robert of Belton; two sisters; Colleen Rhoads of Belton and Bonnie Weaver of Rockport; one brother, Doug Renick, 14 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions to the Armstrong Community Center through deposit at First Texas Bank, Belton.
