A graveside memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, October 16, 2014 at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen, Texas with Minister H.K. Ballard officiating.
Roy was born on March 14, 1947 in New York, New York to William and Charlotte Stoedter Lischinsky. He joined the Army in 1964 and served his country proudly in Vietnam. After returning, he began a career as a heavy equipment mechanic. He married Renate Bach on February 17, 1968 in New York and moved to Belton in 1978. He worked for many years for Bell Contractors in Belton.
Roy was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Douglas Lischinsky, and a sister, Carol Murphy.
He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Renate Lischinsky, daughters Christina Dossey and Jennifer Lischinsky, and son Roy W. Lischinsky Jr.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations be made to the American Heart Association.
