Susan moved to Temple in 1971 and married Jimmy Duke Faucett on April 7, 1972. Susan had a lifelong love of cooking passed down to her by her Grandmother Winnie Paulk and Mother Billie Merle Paulk Warren. After working various jobs and raising her four children, Susan turned her dream into reality and started Perfect Party Catering and eventually opened Susan’s Tea Room and Catering. Susan was famously known for “Crepe Wednesday” and her buttermilk pie. After closing her restaurant in 2007, Susan went to work for the City of Temple as the Manager of Sammons Grill and where Susan went, her clients were sure to follow. The City graciously allowed Susan to bring her menu to the golf course, where she continued serving her famous dishes until she officially retired in 2015. When Susan wasn’t cooking for family and friends, you were most likely to find her in her garden or flowerbeds.
Susan was preceded in death by her parents, Nelton McCauley Warren and Billie Merle Paulk Warren and her husband Jimmy Duke Faucett.
Susan is survived by her son Jacobe Faucett of Rogers and Sheryl Moore of Temple; daughter Jana Lewellen and husband Jeff of Westphalia; daughter Jennifer Jones of Davilla; son Jason Faucett and wife Patricia of Davilla; grandson Bryson Jones; grandson Colton Lewellen; granddaughter Caroline Faucett; granddaughter Madalyn Jones; grandson Audie Faucett; granddaughter Abigail Jones; grandson Isaac Faucett; sister Carolyn Edwards and husband Dennis of Missouri; brother John Warren and wife Vicky of Missouri and several nieces and nephews.
