

Virginia was a trainer for Safeway for many years before transitioning to a bookkeeper for Saint Luke’s Catholic Church and Saint Stephen Catholic Church. She enjoyed crunching numbers and had a deep devotion for the church and her faith. She loved reading scripture, dancing, and traveling with her husband. She had the best authentic laugh and a heart that was larger than life and open to all that needed support.
Virginia believed in the importance of family. She spent her free time with her grandkids and visiting with her relatives as often as she could. She believed family was priority. Her message to all was to “Take care of each other”.
Virginia, was born in Lockhart, TX to Vicente P. Mireles and Benita Valdez Mireles, on August 11, 1946. She is survived by her loving husband of 50 years of marriage, Gilbert L. Estrada, son of Aurelio and Hilda Luna Estrada; her son, Gilbert A. Estrada Jr., and her daughter, Elissa A. Andreas, and husband, Daniel J. Andreas; grandchildren, Ava G. Estrada, Dominic J. Andreas, Aiden V. Andreas and Paul Procell and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Marcelino Mireles; Sister in law, Frances Mireles and niece, Sonya D. Valley, cousins Lupe (Paul) Davila and John Mireles.
Rosary will be held on Wednesday, Sept 9, 2020 at 6-8pm At Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home at 3220 S 31st St, Temple, TX 76502.
Mass will be on Thursday, Sept. 10th, 2020, at 10am at Saint Luke's Catholic Church at 2807 Oakdale Dr, Temple, TX 76502 with the interment at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery at 11463 TX-195, Killeen, TX 76542 (immediately after mass at 1pm).
