

Services for Virginia Lee Booth Hitchcock, 86, of Little River Academy will be 10:00 a.m. Monday at Wilson Valley Cemetery with Rev. Yohan Baek officiating. Arrangements have been entrusted to Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home of Temple. Mrs. Hitchcock went to be with her Lord, Thursday, March 3, 2011.
Virginia was born Oct 31, 1924 in Little Rock, AR to George Myers Booth and Verdie Blank Booth. After high school she attended Arkansas State Teachers University, the University of Arkansas, and was a graduate of St. Louis University. She married John H. Hitchcock Oct 10, 1947 in Pocahontas, AR. From 1947 to 1975 she worked as a registered nurse, retiring from the Veterans Administration Center in Temple. She was a long time member of the Little River United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Hitchcock was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years in 1999.
Survivors include two sons, Fred Hitchcock and his wife Linda of Belton and Dan T. Hitchcock and his wife Kathy Fruin of San Antonio; ten grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions are requested to Wilson Valley Cemetery at PO Box 457, Little River Academy, TX 76554.
The family will receive friends for visitation 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home in Temple.
