Woodrow W. Gommert

Funeral services for Woodrow W. Gommert, 81, of Temple will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, May 17, 2012 at First Lutheran Church, 1515 W. Adams Ave, Temple, TX 76504. Pastor Patricia Dietrich will officiate with burial to follow in Corinth-Buckholts Cemetery.

Woodrow was born in Holland, Texas on September 8, 1930 to Charlie and Ida (Hagemeister) Gommert.

He married Florine Vybiral on July 16, 1949 in the Hope Lutheran Church in Buckholts.

Mr. Gommert spent his entire 53 year professional career working in the Architectural Department at Chupik.

Woodrow is survived by his wife, Florine Gommert of Temple; three sons, David and Judy Gommert of Temple, Dwayne and Dolores Gommert of Temple and Terry and Deborah Gommert of Troy; daughter, Kimberly and Larry Davis of Temple; brother, Wilbert and Betty Gommert of Buckholts; two sisters, Dorothy Price of Fairday, LA and Lois Orsag of Buckholts; twelve grandchildren, and ten great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Scott & White Cancer Center or for the Corinth Cemetery Pavilion, c/o Martha Zelisko.
